I have started planning with goals from 2020 and had a simple list of goals to check. It really helped me look into what I wanted to achieve and now it is time to reflect on what I have done through this really unique year.

I have a huge list privately and I am not comfortable yet to share it publicly, but I am happy to write something publicly and it might be interesting to someone out there.

Here were the goals I set for myself for 2020:

Build a growth mindset

Semi-passed. I made sure I prioritize my needs before others to make sure my goals are achieved, but I did not execute everything in terms of the amount of growth I wanted to achieve. I surely learned and tried to share a lot with my teams and generated this thinking that the other person is always trying to do a certain thing with good in mind.

Get one big internship/freelance client

Semi-passed. Did not get any internships, I really thought too much of me. I didn't get any client as well. Not one that I wanted to work with, got like 5 inquiries. But I am working at Project ANT and I feel like I am very passionate about it, and I am really happy with the team and the feedback they provide. This just pushes on my belief of startups helping me grow so much as a designer. This is the most satisfying thing that happened this year.

Launch a revenue generating new side project

Failed. I worked on multiple side projects, but could not launch any really. This was again a result of spending time in thinking too much rather than executing. Something to keep straight going ahead: launch fast, fail fast. Something I learned in my Innovation course by Bryan Cassady, which I surely won. 😂✨

Get a good GRE Score

Failed. I wanted to give my GRE in May and because of COVID restrictions, I couldn't take it. I did procrastinate and did not find enough time to prepare for a from-home test.

Read 10 books

Semi-passed. Barely really. Read like 2 books and some others that I didn't complete well. It did not make sense to read a book just for the sake of it. I have surely created a collection of what I want to read 😂 and I'm looking forward to use them when I feel good.
